Championship Celebration in Alfta 30 september

The celebration continued at Restaurang Maxim until late.

Martin beginning a burnout.		It's important to get the car back into the tracks it just created in the burnout.	One of the things that is checked between rounds in the pits is leakage in the cylinders.

Peter ström working on the clutch.		The pressure in the rear tires is always checked before running the car on the track.	A car that has won a round in the eliminations must always have its weight checked.	Ready for a warmup of the engine in the pits.

Dan Larsen and Martin Lundqvist.	You have to be prepared to wear ear protection at any time.	Time for food.		Some of our competitors had to repair some minor damages on their funny car bodies....

	This is a Top Fuel engine where some of the connecting rods has broken and then damaged the oil pan.	This was once a blower belt for a Top Fuel car.	A heavily damaged cylinder head for a Top Fuel car. The aluminum clump on its way into the exhaust port is a part of the piston!	One of the teams has created a machine that can measure the traction at the track.

Kristoffer protecting himself from "fumes" in the pits.	A mobile Finnish sauna was available!	A Finnlink machinist showed us the engine compartment of the ferry on our way back to Sweden. Robin is here holding a spare part valve!

Our closest neighbour in the pits in Alastaro were the Top Fuel team of Håkan Nilsson. This team is well known for its amazing speed in which they are doing the maintenance of the car between rounds. Below is a series of pictures that shows how they did in 1 hour this time. They can be even faster if necessary, down to 40 minutes the rumors says!!
